The term Chee Cheong Fun means pork intestine noodle. But only because the rolls look a little bit like pork intestine, which is a popular ingredient in South Chinese cooking. A breakfast dish or tea time snack. Penang’s Chee Cheong Fun includes steamed noodle rolls uniquely prepared with a combination of three sauces – sweet sauce, chili sauce and its most notable hae ko (prawn paste). Sesame seeds are also sprinkled on top for some added crunch in each bite.
